I think this is a great idea. Imagine the surprise when you actually cut into the cake. I just want to know if the old fashioned liquid food colors will work just like the gel? Kids and grown up alike would be greatly surprised at the inside of this cake.

I have never really been a fan of box cake because they just do not taste as good as made from scratch. However this is a quick and very easy way to kick it up a notch (box cake mix) when you are in a pinch and not just for St. Patrick's day.
