- 2 quarts grapeseed oil
- 2 quarts fresh oysters
- 2 cups cornmeal
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt

Shuck oysters and rinse off any grit

Heat deep-fryer to 375 degrees F

Combine cornmeal and spices in a large plastic bag
