1 tsp. xanthan gum is listed as one of the ingredients. Is this vital to the recipe? I have never had the need to buy or use this in anything I have ever made. I dont want to add ingredients like this to a home made recipe. Very odd choice. If I make this and omit that ingredient how will it turn out?

These pot pies look so good, I am wondering though with the pastry would this make these pot pies a better dinner rather than starter? Are they a little heavy for a starter? Although I do I have a very small appetite anyway but my partner could eat all day and never be full!!!

Ok, everyone seems awfully upset over there being no chicken in this recipe. But if you look at the title and what is written... there is NO mention of chicken. Not even a subtle promise of chicken. None. Nada. Zip. It's a mini pot pie, not a chicken pot pie.

I have been reading the other posts and if they are correct, that link takes you to a 'Gluten FREE Vegan' site. I just checked it out myself, so please 'Bridget H' from AllFreeCopyCatRecipes, check your link for it isn't for a chicken pot pie mini or regular! The pic it shows is but the recipe isn't!

Yes. What happened to the CHICKEN pot pie link? The picture and recipe is for a veggie pot pie with lots of strange ingredients in the crust like brown rice flour 0_o. Could you link us to the correct recipe please? Love Marie Callenders but linked recipe is wrong. Thanks! Someone else commented on this about 6 weeks ago. Do you check reviews?
