Sigh! Honestly, there is nothing "Aussie" about this restaurant. We eat our fries (chips) with ketchup or brown gravy or chicken salt. We eat fish with batter, not crumbs. Our shrimp on the barbie are cooked in the shell. Fries are actually fresh thick cut chips that are deep fried twice or air fried. I just don't get the ranch dressing, we don't have it in Oz! Go look up real aussie recipes like pavlova, damper, lamingtons, sausage rolls, pumpkin soup, Roasted pumpkin and pine nut salad. Aussie people eat healthy foods, like seafoods and salads. We also eat a lot of multicultural foods, we have indian, thai, chinese, japanese, greek, italian etc.

Outback Steakhouse makes a dessert that I believe is called a "Spotted Dog".. it's simply Vanilla Ice Cream with a Chocolate/Fudge Sauce on top of it... However, the Chocolate/Fudge Sauce is absolutely incredibly delicious and I was wondering if anyone knew what made it so yummy tasting??? Or maybe it's my imagination??? Thanks for reading, Linda

Sadly, one of my favorite Outback Steakhouse Recipes, is the one for the "ORIGINAL" Walkabout Soup which was a creamy onion soup. Another favorite that is not in your 12 recipes is the one they have for their horseradish sauce they serve with prime rib.
