This does sound like a simple way of making popcorn, but it doesn't really give any instructions for how much butter or salt, seasoning to add etc. And I also wonder what the purpose it to add the butter and spice and microwave, and not to just pop the corn and add everything after? I guess if you don't add butter you could re-use the bag, but otherwise it would get really messy and greasy I think.

Reusing the bag would not be an option if you add anything with oil (butter, margarine, cheese flavoring). I much prefer using my NordicWare microwave popper. It is safer (no chance of paper overheating and burning) and it is quick and easy.

I've been doing this for 25 years, and it works just fine. My problem is when I first tried it, I had never used a microwave before, and I closed the bag with a staple. That set the bag on fire.
