This is a great recipe for a batter that puffs and is crispy. I had a recipe similar to this one years ago and had lost it. It is not always easy to find a recipe like this one, even if it is a simple one. Not all of them use baking powder or baking soda as a leavening agent, and many of them add extras I didnt want. This one is perfect for us.
