This looks and sounds absolutely awesome. One of the other commenters made mention that these were dough balls, but that is basically what dumplings are. If you have ever been in the South or eaten Southern cuisine you know that chicken and dumplings is basically chicken, stock, and dough balls.

I have never heard of french toast dumplings but they look so good! I am sick of the same old breakfasts and would love to try something new! I am a little afraid to try this though reading the below comment, has anyone tried this and it worked out, if so did you change anything?

Can you say DOUGHBALL??? Because that is what these are...even when I left them simmer longer than necessary and then cooled to put the sugar and cinnamon...not good.....I actually had a stomach ache after taste testing only two.....don't waste your time and ingredients on this one.....there are better recipes out there using the grands.....
