Covering chocolate chip cookies in chocolate is a great idea! They would make a great gift.

These cookies were so rich! The chocolate is thick and smooth and compliments the cookie perfectly, especially since the cookie isn't super soft. It add the perfect touch. These would be perfect as a gift for the holidays or even to bring to a party.
