Swedish Meatballs
"Swedish Meatballs like you’ll find in Ikea, but without the trip to the store. Served with the creamy beef gravy, you’ll LOVE this easy weeknight meal. Swedish Meatballs are a dish we collectively go gaga for every time we go to Ikea. The “Ikea Meatballs” my kids refer to become the thing they pine after the entirety of our walk through the top floor of the store. We got to the point where we’d started buying the frozen bags until one afternoon I decided I would make it myself."

All kids love meatballs and they are such a versatile dish. They can replace chicken tenders which is the usual stable of little kids diets these days. Meatballs go with almost any side dish and the type of sauces and dips for them are endless. I love the taste of these Swedish meatballs and bonusthey are extra simple to make.

Swedish Meatballs are such a great comfort food, and in my family a refreshing break from the usual spaghetti and meatballs. It is such a simple recipe, full of rich flavors and creamy gravy. I too first got turned on to Swedish Meatballs at Ikea. It's great to be able to make them at home. I like serving them over buttered egg noodles, with crispy Italian bread on the side..of course.

Call me odd but I find it quite satisfying to make meatballs, lol! And it is all the better when they turn out to be as gooooood as these did. The gravy brings the most awesome flavors and, paired with the mashed sweet potatoes we had as a side dish, really elevates the meal. It is hearty and satisfying and we all loved it so it seems we will be having it again!
