I use to eat Honey Baked ham sandwiches a lot but their spiral hams are way to high. They are delicious but who can afford them.I tried to make one for Easter but did not quite nail it. It was good but there was a lot missing. I did not use the pear or apple juice maybe why. I can not wait to try this for Christmas this year and I may even try in the crock pot so I do not have to spend my time in the kitchen. Anyone try this recipe yet? How did it taste?

I basically use the same recipe but rather than Apple or pear juice I use ginger ale plus other ingredients listed. Other than not having the crispy, company said it tasted similar to Honey Baked. Next time I'll try one of the other juices rather than ginger ale next time. I don't know if you'll get the same crispy top from brown sugar and honey in crockpot as you would in oven. I do not use a butane flame to crisp the top...regular oven works just fine. Enjoy!!
