Homemade 2-Ingredient Turtle Candy
"This is a mini version of the Turtles Candy that is sold by a major manufacturer and in fine candy shops. The commercial candy is no longer safe for anyone who is gluten intolerant, and this is a handy way to make just the number you want. The pecan sits under the chocolate and caramel and can be eaten warm or cooled. It only requires 2 ingredients. They are not identical to the commercial candy but they are very close."

Remove from the microwave and quickly flatten the candies a bit more more using the back of the tines of a salad fork.

You can double the size of this recipe by increasing the cooking time slightly. I would not try to do more than 12 at a time as you need to flatten them quickly before they cool.
