Chips and onion dip are an absolute must for me. I have always gone the seasoned packet and sour cream way though. I was so happy to find a recipe using fresh onions and other ingredients along with the sour cream. This dip tastes wonderful, and it easy to make. I have served this at parties with fresh veggies, like carrot sticks and celery, and even with bruschetta on the side.

I love onion dip with my chips and am excited to find a new recipe that uses the sweeter Vidalia onion. I know people who eat these onions like they eat an apple. I have not been brave enough to do that but I am brave enough to try out this dip. Bring on the industrial sized bag of chips!
