Seriously ?! I had no idea of how you can make brown sugar at home and I am very happy to be "educated" as brown sugar is very expensive and most of the time is not even real. That is just wonderful to know. Will teach my children to do this simple and great recipe. Thank you so very much!

This is a wonderful find. In all of the years I have been cooking, I never knew you could do this. We use a lot of brown sugar at our house. Sometimes we have a difficult time finding the one we need in the grocery stores of our small town. This is a welcome addition to the recipe box. I can't wait to teach it to the kids!

Okay, who got into my recipe box? This recipe was handed down to me from my Grandfather. I remember as a young kid sitting at his kitchen table with a big bowl of sugar and a cup of dark molasses and a fork. He said mixed it together until there is no more white sugar. I love the taste of homemade brown sugar and have never bought any. I taught my own children how to do this and they are teaching their own children. It's a old time recipe that is better then store bought. Thank you for sharing this.
