I saved the recipe because it sounds so good, but I am concerned about the raw eggs being ok to use and no cooking of any kind except for the crust, I guess my question is, is it safe to use the raw eggs.

The eggs are used as a binder. When everything is mixed, you won't be able to tell the eggs are included.
