Herbaceous Homemade Tater Tots

You can optionally bake this tater tot recipe. You just need to brush some oil on the tater tots and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.

Ingredients
- 2 pound potatoes
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 2 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 3 ounce rosemary sprigs
- 3 cup vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Place potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with cold water.

Bring to a boil and cook until parboiled, for 7 minutes.

Drain well and let cool.

Grate the cooked potatoes.

Using cheesecloth, remove as much water as possible from the potatoes.

Transfer potatoes to a large bowl.

Stir in flour, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and chopped rosemary sprigs.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Form potatoes into tots.

Heat vegetable oil in a large stockpot or Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add tots to the skillet, 5 or 6 pieces at a time.

And cook until evenly golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.

Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
