The recipe sounds easy but not very good. What about some seasoning? Where's the salt?

Usually broth is quite salty... Of course you could add any seasoning that suits you. But you don't want to take away from the simplicity of the Onion by compounding too many flavors. Sometimes simple flavors are better than too much going on..However bland is terrible too. Taste your cooking and adjust.
